Stephan Bajaio
VP of Professional Services and Co-Founder, Conductor

Stephan Bajaio joined Conductor in March of 2008 and has built three teams within the organization during his tenure. Currently, as VP of Professional Services at Conductor, Bajaio has built the team from scratch to one with over 40 search experts globally today. He devises and executes services and strategies which his team provides and guides clients through: site migrations/relaunches, technical audits, account configurations and a myriad of potential SEO issues and opportunities.

Bajaio brings a strong outspoken leadership style and an unmatched level of passion, strategy and creative industrialism, which have impacted Conductor clients and enhanced the overall company culture. Chris Boggs - VP of Education
Founder, Web Traffic Advisors

Chris has been a digital marketer since 2000, starting in-house in the insurance space and subsequently assuming growing leadership roles across large agencies and SEM firms. He recently founded in upstate New York. Chris consults with and coaches business and agency teams ranging from senior executives to technical, brand, content and legal groups; helping to improve validation, efficiency, internal acumen and implementation. Chris has diverse experience across major ecommerce platforms, pharma, retail, and other industries.

Since 2004 Chris has been a highly rated speaker, moderator, and content advisor at conferences and partner events all over the world, covering search engine marketing, social media, analytics and evolving tactics including the promotion of better SEO integration across marketing channels. He has served on the Global Board of Directors of SEMPO since 2006, and co-hosts the weekly podcast SEO Rockstars. Michael Bonfils - VP of Marketing

Since 1996, Michael has helped pioneer best practices in the global digital marketing industry and has been involved in leading innovations in technology advertising. After selling his first agency in 2004, he launched SEM International starting with his first global office in China, which grew quickly and eventually expanded into Asia, Europe, and Latin America. By 2009, it turned into one of the largest global alliances of international online marketing service firms serving both agencies and Fortune 500 in-house digital marketers.  Now the group has over 20 global offices, covering over 40 languages in over 50 countries worldwide.

Today, Michael and his global associates at SEM International focus on worldwide digital marketing campaigns custom tailored for agencies and multinational corporations. He is also involved in running  programmatic systems used for omni-channel targeting and focuses heavily on multi-channel attribution based projects within Paid Search, SEO, Social, Display, Video and Global Strategy. Mike Corak - President
Vice President, and General Manager, DAC Group – Louisville

C-level managing director and digital marketing strategist with full revenue, thought leadership and P&L responsibilities. Proven 18 year track record of designing and orchestrating successful integrated digital marketing programs for clients such as Bank of America, Chase, Coca-Cola, Conoco-Phillips, Farmers Insurance, FedEx, General Motors, Nike, US Bank, Walt Disney and Waste Management. Includes 10 years of experience developing, architecting, and implementing agency operational structures, service design and productization, and go to market strategies.

Marc Engelsman - VP of Research
VP, Strategy and Analytics, Digital Brand Expressions

Marc has been serving on the SEMPO Board of Directors for the past four years as a member of the Board’s Executive Committee and it’s VP of Research.  During his tenure, he helped revitalize SEMPO’s Research Committee and spearheaded our annual State of Search Surveys as well as the bi-annual Search Salary Survey.  He sees the role of research as a key driver of SEMPO visibility and member value and has actively promoted our research via Google Hangouts, blog posts and speaking engagements.  His contributions and active weekly participation on the SEMPO Board and the Executive Committee extend beyond his research role and he is proud of being part of the driving change the SEMPO Board has achieved in recent years. 

Prior to being elected to the SEMPO Board, Marc was an active member in SEMPO ever since he joined Digital Brand Expressions more than 12 years ago.  He first served on the Marketing Committee and helped lead the update of marketing/member materials.  Then he joined the Research Committee and took over the lead role for SEMPO’s Annual State of Search Survey.

In addition to his search and digital marketing expertise, Marc brings 25 years of experience in marketing and advertising with New York City agencies across a wide range of clients in the consumer, B2B, and not-for-profit sectors. He repeatedly garners praise from clients for his strategic guidance and for his ability to translate strategies into integrated, multi-faceted tactical action plans.

Marc is a frequent speaker at search and broader marketing conferences including Digital Summit, SMX, Marketing Profs, Direct Marketing Association, among others. 

Prior to serving on the SEMPO Board, Marc served 4 years on the Board of Directors for the Marketing Executives Networking Group (MENG) which is now the AMA Executive Circle.  AMA/MENG is a non-profit national membership organization (with local chapters) that faced many of the opportunities/challenges that SEMPO is addressing today.

Mike Grehan - Chair

Bill Leake

CEO, Apogee Results

CEO of, a McKinsey & Co. and Dell Computer veteran, Bill draws on a deep expertise in both business and marketing to help increase revenues for a wide range of clients. Bill has been driving provable revenues through Internet marketing techniques since the mid 1990s when, as part of the management team at Power Computing, he built the first company to sell $1 million of product over the Internet. Most recently, he led all customer- prospect- and influencer-facing marketing functions for Rimini Street, a pre-IPO tech company. While there, revenues grew from 68 million to a 130 million run-rate.

Bill has guided Apogee-branded marketing companies from inception to success, creating one of the largest independent online marketing agencies in North America and one of the fastest growing companies on the Inc. 500 list. Apogee has been particularly instrumental in building dozens of “Internet Retailer 500”, “Software 500”, and VC-backed companies, growing more Inc. 500 / 5000 companies than anyone else in the industry, and serving top global brands like Whole Foods, IBM, SAP and Hewlett Packard.

Corey Morris - VP of Cities

Corey serves as the Vice President of Marketing for Voltage–a full-service digital marketing agency based in Kansas City, MO. He has spent a dozen years working in strategic and leadership roles focused on growing both national and local client brands with award winning, ROI generating digital strategies.

In addition to his role at Voltage, he serves on the board of SEMPO as the VP of Cities and previously led the local SEMPO Cities initiative in Kansas City upon founding the KC Search Marketing Conference. Luis Navarrete Gomez
Head of Global Search Marketing, LEGO

Luis is Head of Global Search Marketing at The LEGO Group, and defines the strategy for organic and paid search activity globally for the iconic toy company. On these years in the company, Luis has managed to create a global organization that reaches both children and parents with engaging content in more than 140 markets.

He is a regular writer and speaker about Search Marketing and business leadership and plays an active role in the search community by participating at conferences, judging industry awards and being part of advisory boards. Luis comes from a technical background on computer science and has more than 14 years' experience in Search Marketing with cross-functional expertise in technology and business management and leadership.

Christi Olson

Head of Evangelism, Microsoft Search Advertising

Christi is a Search Evangelist at Microsoft in Seattle, Washington. For over a decade Christi has been a student and practitioner of SEM; living and breathing through the evolution of both organic and paid search updates that have kept us on our toes and adjusting our search strategy. Christi is passionate about digital and has spent her career helping businesses solve their marketing challenges and goals through studying and analyzing data to develop actionable insights and strategies. She has spoken at more than 40 conferences globally including AdWeek New York, CES, SMX, PubCon, HeroConf, and SEOktoberfest.

Prior to joining the team at BingAds within Microsoft, Christi has worked in marketing (predominately search) both in-house and at agencies at Point It, PointMarc, Expedia, Harry & David, and at MSN, Bing, Windows teams at Microsoft. Christi is a University of Idaho Vandal alumnus (go Vandals) and is born and raised on the west coast. In May of 2016 Christi and her husband Jason welcomed a little baby boy named Roy into their family, and she is loving the joys (and late nights/craziness) of parenthood.

She has 16+ years of digital experience growing small, medium and enterprise level businesses. She’s also an avid water hiker, trail runner, foodie, photographer, and LOVES the color purple. Pablo Slough
Head of Global Education, Google Marketing Services

Pablo currently runs the Global Education team for Google Marketing Services driving the education strategy and deployment for our external partners around the world. Most recently, he was Head of Performance Activation for the Americas, which was a team of specialist sales people focusing on developing Search solutions for our top clients and agencies across 4 main areas Automation, Audience, Mobile and Creative Excellence.


He joined Google in Mexico in November 2009, where he started as Head of Industry focusing on Travel, Finance, CPG and Healthcare verticals; he then became Country Manager of Google Mexico in 2012. Before joining Google Inc., Pablo worked as Digital Director for CIE Entertainment / OCESA and Universal McCann Latin America. Prior to that Pablo set-up a few start-ups in Europe (, Plush and Creative Hot House).

A serial entrepreneur and always close to technology, advertising, and e-commerce, Pablo’s mission is promoting the Internet and Mobile ecosystem.
